As part of the Intellectual Property awareness campaign of the University, the UST innovation and Technology Support Office (ITSO) was invited by the Office of the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs to be part of the Program of the Orientation for New faculty Members last August 4, 2016 at the AMV Multipurpose Hall to discuss about an overview of the Intellectual Property System and the IP Policy of the University. The ITSO offers assistance and training to faculty and student researchers in performing basic patent searches to establish novelty of their research projects. This prevents ‘re-inventing the wheel’ as well as saves time, effort and valuable resources in embarking on a project.
